About the Presenter:

Bob’s many years of experience as a Volunteer Fire Marshal and Fire Investigator in Colorado and as Deputy State Fire Marshal for Wyoming and several other counties in Colorado working with volunteers taught him important lessons about connecting.

Bob a variety of leadership position in incident management including Fire Chief, overseeing operations of the volunteer fire crew, compiling budgets, and responding to wildland fires using the Incident Command structure. Forming his own consulting company in 2001, Bob has drawn on his valuable experience by marketing and delivering National Wildfire Coordinating Group wildfire courses, and Homeland Security Incident Command courses. Bob also provides instructional and Command Support as a Training Specialist and Liaison Officer to the Colorado Wildfire and Incident Management Academy, FEMA and Homeland Security.

In 2011, Bob joined The John Maxwell Team and is now a certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker. Bob brings more than 30 years of leadership and coaching experience in Fire and Emergency Services, including All Hazard Incident Management, and both domestic and international teaching and facilitating of courses for entry level personnel, top management, and political leaders on leadership concepts and communication courses.

Bob’s unique ability to connect with his audience generates excitement and enthusiasm for learning. Especially rewarding in Bob’s career was the opportunity to personally mentor the members of the volunteer fire community. This experience led Bob to an understanding of how people react during critical times in their lives and what motivates and inspires them.
